Replace Nissan Key Fob Batteries
If your Nissan keyfob doesn't respond your commands, the battery could be dead. It's a relatively easy repair that most people can complete themselves.
If you want to change the battery, you can purchase the new battery from a hardware shop or consult the owner's manual for the model you have.
The Battery is changed
The key fob in your Nissan model is equipped with a built-in battery that will eventually lose its charge. Luckily, changing the battery on the key fob is an easy process which takes just less than a few minutes. First, you'll need to purchase a CR2032 battery. It's a small coin-cell battery that is found in the majority of key fobs. You can find it at a variety of convenience stores. You will also need a pair of gloves (latex or non-latex) and a small flathead screwdriver to open the fob. Before beginning, be sure to check the owner's manual to find specific steps and directions.
Flip the fob upside down and look at the backside. There is a tiny catch that must be released by pulling it down. This will take the mechanical key from its original position within the fob.
Place the battery in place and ensure that it is properly aligned. Close the fob once the battery is in place and then click the two sides of the fob together. Test your key fob after you've completed this step by pressing the unlock button. You can now use the many features of your Nissan when everything is functioning properly. After changing the battery, it's a good idea re-program your key fob to ensure that it's functioning correctly.
Replacing the Transmitter
